On PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, essential services such as authentication, access to the in-game store, and matchmaking are reported as down, with general connectivity noted as impaired. Ubisoft mentions that problems are under investigation, but hasn’t given a timeline for resolution.

The magnitude of the outages has intensified assertions that this situation is significantly more severe than normal server issues.

Previously, the official Rainbow Six account confirmed its awareness of an issue impacting the game and stated that teams were addressing it. There was no reference to a security breach, hack, or exploit.
